Things To Consider Before Getting A Pet

All of us are naturally taken with the cute faces of kittens and puppies and their playful antics. After all, who could resist them? But before you decide to take that kitten or puppy home, there are a few things you should first consider.

Pets are a lifetime commitment. A puppy could live for the next 10 to 15 years, while a kitten could live for the next 10 to 20 years. You must be committed to be responsible for them for this long before you decide to buy or adopt an animal.

Animals bond to people, and to give them up for any reason is a most traumatic experience for them. So ask yourself some hard questions first.

1. Do you have space or room for them?

2. Do you have the time to spare for your pets?

3. Can you afford the cost involved in keeping a pet?

4. Are you prepared to handle accidents like soils in the home, or torn furniture?

5. Is this the right pet for you and your lifestyle?

Do your homework first before you get a pet. For, when you get a pet, you become a PARENT!
