The Beijing Olympics 2008 has come to a close. Just like the opening ceremony, the closing ceremony was directed by filmmaker Zhang Yimou and was quite a dazzling sight to behold, with famous celebrities like Placido Domingo, Jimmy Page, Leona Lewis and David Beckham representing London while China was represented by Jackie Chan and Andy Lau.
With the usual pomp, the Olympics flag was handed over to Boris Johnson, the mayor of London, who flew to Beijing for the ceremony via economy class. Bye-bye Beijing, and hello London.
