I received an email from Google AdSense today informing me that they have disabled my account. The reason quoted was : "While going through our records recently, we found that your AdSense account has posed a significant risk to our AdWords advertisers. Since keeping your account in our publisher network may financially damage our advertisers in the future, we've decided to disable your account."
What I don't understand is, "posed a significant risk". And the best part is, all the money I've earned, which did not happen to be a negligible amount, has been withdrawn and returned to the advertisers.
In the real world, it would be a scenario where the advertisers pay per audience at the cinema for their ads. When the advertisers suddenly found that many people are coming to watch the movies, they decided that they may be damaged financially and so decided that they are not going to pay the cinema owners. But what they conveniently forgot is that their ads have already been viewed by hundreds of cinema-goers, if not thousands, without their having paid a single cent.
This is indeed a great advertisement program. They get their advertisements out for free.
